Professional Statement

A pillar of her community, Kesia is deeply passionate about empowering those in need and has contributed her time and talents by serving as an active participant in many social service organizations, a few of her past endeavors include; serving as a monthly speaker at the Los Angeles Mission on Skid Row and contributing as the Founder of the Women of Confidence Support Group. After having personally navigated her own trials and tribulations. She discovered the power of her voice and decided to use her heart for healing and advocacy to help others as they navigate their own mental health journey. Wanting to better educate herself, Kesia went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Corrections. She later obtained her Master’s in Social Work with a focus in Children, Youth, and Family with a minor in Mental Health. She is now a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Social Worker. Kesia brings with her over 20 + years of experience in the Social Service and Mental Health field. Noticing a deeper need for holistic healing in the mental health space, in 2010 she was inspired to found Love Thyself Social Services. Love Thyself is an organization that supports personal life recovery and prides itself on helping to aid clients through the process of divine healing and progression. Therapy techniques including, strength based perspective, dialectic behavioral therapy techniques, solution focus, and several other therapy modalities, all serve as a way to help gear individuals and families to grow and achieve their goals. For over 12 + years, Love Thyself Social Service organization has served the minority community through community outreach by providing the necessities to support those in need of psychosocial whole health healing.
