Dr. Carrera has been licensed as a psychologist in California since 2001. She has worked in private practice and forensic settings. Dr. Carrera utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach for effective treatment of mood disorders, post-traumatic stress and anxiety as well as managing relationship issues, grief, and career changes. Doctor Carrera believes that therapy should be a challenging and exciting exploration of precipitating events which have caused the current distress followed by concrete plans and simple strategies to assist the client in moving forward to a happier and more fulfilling life.
