Professional Statement

Dr. Dina Altshuler is a licensed clinical psychologist committed to creating a warm, empathic, and safe space. Her priority is to meet her clients where they are in order to help them on their journey. Dr. Altshuler utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, drawing on psychodynamic, systems, and attachment theories to look below the symptom level into the root of issues that clients may be struggling with. She also draws on cognitive behavioral techniques and mindfulness and meditation practices to help deal with symptoms by increasing healthy coping and self-care skills. Dr. Altshuler is drawn to this mix of perspectives and techniques because they capture the complexity of human experience and the significance of relationships. Her treatment specialties include: attachment issues, family conflict, relational issues, parenting education and support, anxiety, depression, trauma, work/life stress, and life transitions. Dr. Altshuler has experience working with children of all ages, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives.
